html web page question

    Hi Guys,

I have a holding page that is basically just a large jpg image, but when I view it as an html it has white spaces around it. I have set the borders/margins to zero, but can't get rid of it.

Alternatively, I made the jpg a background image and it clears up the problem, but then introduces issues if people view it on higher resolutions (width set to 800; height set to 600) as it will replicate itself (as backgrounds do).

Originally, as a background you couldn't see the whole image (scroll bars didn't work), so I added a blank table on top of the background at the size I needed (I know I am a total hack).

Any suggestions at how to resolve the white borders/spaces issue would be much appreciated.

    Cheers
