Hi guys. Back in the late 80's when Broken Hill Holdings was running the show I was able to go down to the 23rd level where there were three miners drilling for gold. I was led to believe that there is plenty more gold below that level and in the mine itself up to 600000 ozs ( ref Greenchip 1994 Victorian gold book ).
My questions are : Have the water levels come back up again ?
The size of the shafts are very restrictive to the amount of ore that can be brought up top economically, but if viable could increase ozs produced. Is this possible ?
I remember John Howard officially re-opened the mine before he became prime minister.
I'm confident of getting back what I lost on BHH.
