    Hi Roughie, I believe that is incorrect. If you don't vote or appoint a proxy then your vote is not cast.

    if you appoint a proxy but don't instruct them on how to vote your proxy then they may vote your proxy however they chose.

    The demerger needs 75% of cast votes to vote yes for it to suceed.

    Thats my understanding.

    Voter apathy increases the chance it will be rejected as it increases the relative size of MCB vote to votes cast.
