don't use HC and expect an honest sample of the actual holders of AGL... until the demerger vote is done, who really knows?
Is AGL worth more than MCB & Brookfield offered? Yes Have the board & management acted in the best interests of shareholders for the last 5 years? No
Is there more value to AGL as a whole or as one viable business & another with a limited lifespan to re-invent itself within (or go bust)? TBD (I will be voting against the demerger - there is a lot of synergy being lost here)
MCB is a pest if he fails in stopping the demerger - if he stops the demerger and still doesn't come in with a solid offer... he will still be a pest. If he succeeds in stopping the demerger AND takes over AGL - he is making money....lots of it.
