The letter that MCB has sent around is intended to mislead the general public about his supposedly good deed with the support of the majority of shareholders.

He can’t claim that the majority of individual shareholders are supporting him.
He should have mentioned a smaller number of the lager shareholders who hold 53% of the company’s shares are the supporters.

I believe in Grok Ventures there are only two shareholders in that company, himself and his wife.

Next, past outages of generating units had little impact on electricity prices as there used to be ample spinning reserves.

The generating company with the unit outage had an obligation to supply the committed MW/h to the distributor company at the original bid price!
It generally involves them having to pay the higher spot market prices to fulfil their obligations

The probable cause of insufficient reserve power is due to lack of investment with the implementation off privatisation of these vital community assets.
That is why the Federal govt is building the gas fired Kurri Kurri plant that will initially run on a blend of 30% hydrogen and gas and eventually on pure hydrogen.

What I recall is that AGL has not a hard rule on the date these coal fired powers station will be shut down.
They may close them down earlier if the market has sufficient capacity.
That is basically what MCB is saying if his accelerate transition is delayed.

What anti - demerger are avoiding in mentioning is that Twiggy has already MOU with AGL for repurposing the site -Accel portofio - for the manufacture of green hydrogen.

As I mentioned in my previous post Twiggy has intent of building a gas fired power station, initially running blended fuel (50%) till proven that it can run only on green hydrogen as a stand alone fuel.

AGL worker will probably be employed to run Twiggy's power station and other will be retrained for the green hydrogen.

So to label Accel as being long term dirty company is pure crap?

I would ignore the rhetorics from MCB and Greenpeace as them being biased for solar and wind, and ignoring cleaner sine wave from a rotating machine that will have a smaller environmental impact with a physical small damaging footprint on the environment.

The demerger will probably fail not because of it environment credentials but due to the high percentage needed to be successful - 75%

Let me remind poster’s, has any of the spill against remuneration(25%) been successful without a larger T20 joining the mob?

I think the only chance of demerger vote being an affirmative is if nearly all the large holders vote for it, if only one or two support it then can’t see that they can get 75% of votes cast. Even then it’s likely to be close.
