Guys when these storms rolled thru 150-250 years ago no one gave a stuff - WHY - because very few people lived in these areas
It has very little to do with climate change (that has occurred over eons all on its own). The issue is that we have massivley populated and built human infra structure in these storm prone areas
Every time I see the predictable story in the press about a MEGA storm in far north Queensland (like cyclone Debbie) as being proof of climate change I have a good laugh
We have allowed large populations to establish into low lying, flood prone, cyclone prone areas all around the world in the last 50-80 years and now every time when the inevitable cyclone comes through, as it has always done we scream - CLIMATE CHANGE
