re: huge increase in shares wbc Thanks Ocker and Alpha.

I did paste the data in a spreadsheet.

One of the things I am still trying to grasp regarding Short Selling a stock.

Just as an example: With WBC, 7.2% of total Short Sell Limit has been Short/Sold.

Does this therefore imply that punters are expecting the price to go up within the next 3 days before they exit thier positions at a tidy profit. If that is the case then there would be a flurry of activity on the third day. If the price were to move against them within that time frame they would need to exit thier positions before to much collateral damage.

Am I reading this correctly? Also, is there somewhere on the ASX website where I can download historical short positions for various stocks. What I am really after is to find out what the average Short/Sold position for the various stocks on my watchlist to gauge unusual activity.

    Thanks!

    Cheers markco
