The Asian ferrosilicon market was throwing off mixed signals. The ZCE’s mostly actively traded contract, October, rose rmb224 to rmb5,990 ($844.88 per mt) today on an amazing turnover of 455,636 contacts. Even the September contract had turnover of 117,990 contracts with the settlement up rmb170 to rmb6,036 per mt ($851.36). The ZCE is for domestic use.
