AUM has entered into an agreement with Orica Australia to supply
copper sulphate pentahydrate from its Mt Norma Copper Processing
Project located near Cloncurry, Queensland.
The treatment plant is nearing completion and is anticipated to
commence production in early 2003.
The agreement is for the supply of the entire production from the
Mt Norma project and is for 10 years. The agreement replaces the
agreement the Company previously had with Fernz Chemicals, which was
acquired by Orica. The intention of the parties is that this
agreement will form a long term strategic alliance of mutual benefit.
Initial production is 6,000 tonne of copper sulphate in Year One
increasing to 20,000 tonne per annum in the following year.
