You can trade the markets both ways, up and down. Short selling basically means to sell first and buy back later. That makes it possible to profit to profit from falling share prices. http://www.asx.com.au/data/Shortsell.txt lists the companies that can be shorted, how many shares can be borrowed for shorting and the size of current short positions. 309,300 RRS shares are reported short as 29/11. That's not a lot and nothing to worry about. If it was a large position I would think that they must be close to the company. So we won't get a major short squeeze and why cover now while it's nicely trending down and they are cashing in on it? Hope the directors take up their partly paids as that would give the market some confidence. When I read the posts here, I would also appreciate the odd operations update from the company.
