As an investor, it would demonstrate to me that smaller BNPL players is not a viable business model. (I am assuming that "to fold" means that the equity markets close to them so they can no longer fund unprofitable growth or their operations). However, Humm is profitable and still growing so it should allow Humm to gain market share and dominate the space as the smaller players & competition disappear.
As the smaller ones fold, the strongest survives - Humming all the way to the bank!
