This paper falls flat on its face for the following reason:
Professor David Karoly states "...we are talking about climate change which is only less than 1 degree so far, ramping up towards 4 or 5 degrees towards the end of that century".
4 or 5 degrees!!!!
Only a deluded climate scientist, or a very highly paid climate scientist, or a palm reader trying REALLY hard to keep a straight face, would be making that prediction...
...given that the models promising us these ludicrous 4 or 5 degrees are way, way, way, way (is that 4 or 5??) off the trend of actual measured temperatures going back the first IPCC report in 1990. There is virtually no hope statistically of this coming about, yet Professor Karoly speaks of this as if it's a given.
If the models used to come to the conclusion of THIS study are based on equally fanciful parameters (and there's nothing that would indicate otherwise), then nobody should be taking these "findings" seriously.
