    If a person is fortunate to be born in a rich country the chances of having access to advanced medical treatment that prolongs life is increased tremendously.
    Even in some rich countries access to advanced medical treatment is improved by being rich because this enables people to "go private" by paying for the treatment thereby jumping queues that people who have to use the public health services endure. The irony is that by and large the same practitioners work across the private and public sectors. Money provides quicker access to their services.
