True, but it was trading at 20c at the start of 2009. Heaps of joy for the real long termers.
The best performing companies on the NASDAQ (or something akin) have had drops of 50-75% in their price during their journey to becoming one of the best performing companies on the NASDAQ. In thought, I would say this is probably true for most publicly traded companies in the world.
So let's have a look at the best company in Australia: CSL.
WOW! There you go. Share price went from $17 at the end of 2001 to $4 mid 2003. Share price is now $287. Share price also dropped from $43 to $26 from its high in 2008 to its low in 2011.
