Interpreting in this country must be a big industry - wonder if any jury member asked for an interpreter to interpret "reasonable doubt"? Hmmm, poor accused!
You raise a very salient point. Would Ms Higgins and Mr Lehrmann be well within their rights to question each jury member as to their grasp of English: written and spoken and the various nuances conveyed by certain words. A lot of Australians understand the term "blotto" but does someone from Afghanistan or Tibet understand the word.
