This hurricane is directly in the path of the major US refining facilities around Corpus Christi.
Whoever said this was going to miss is looking very wrong !
Corpus Christi is home to refineries run by Valero Energy Corp.'s refining and Chemical LP, part of Venezuela's Petroleos de Venezuela; and Flint Hills Resources LP, according to the Department of Energy. As of Jan. 1, the refineries produced 586,126 barrels of oil distillates a day.
Dolly is now a Category 1 hurricane and strengthening and she's a very slow mover. Not good for oil prices. Be suprised to not see a spike tonight.
