They are partnering with ZEV, a commercial fleet converter/electrifyer.
This just keeps getting better and better-

For reference, SUV's/pickup trucks use twice the lithium power pack of a standard sedan. When you start talking commercial fleets, its multiples of that. These guys are going to need a lot of lithium!! And Hawkstone/Arizona lithium, are just up the road!!!
If we can get this project moving, BLM, drilling, demo plant, which I think Paul was saying will be around the middle of next year, we are a real chance to supply these guys...
Remember, the cell manufacturers and EV OEM's, are keeping a really tight rein on their supply chains now, keeping them as close to carbon neutral as possible. Because If you don't, you simply will not be able to compete with those who are...

Arizona battery, EV companiesElectrek reported on July 30 that battery cell technology developer KORE Power will build the first lithium-ion battery factory wholly owned by a US company, in Buckeye, Arizona.
It will create a vital new US battery supply for electric vehicles and battery storage.The 1 million-square-foot manufacturing facility will be called the KOREPlex (rendering above).
It will support up to 12 gigawatt-hours (GWh) of battery cell production.
Now KORE has announced that it has signed a joint development agreement with Zero Electric Vehicles Inc., which is also finalizing a plan for a production facility and new headquarters, in Gilbert, Arizona.
Simply put, ZEV converts fleet vehicles to electric. It manufactures electric powertrains for fleet customers with a commercially available, low-cost, fast-turnaround configuration for light- to medium-duty fleet vehicles.
The KORE and ZEV teams will jointly tackle three key EV challenges: thermal management, safety, and module and pack configurability toward higher energy and power densities.KORE will provide ZEV with battery cells and supplies for their electrification solution through 2030.
The joint teams will work out of KOREPlex, which is expected to be ready at the beginning of 2023; ZEV’s new headquarters and production facility; and at the Battery Cell Research laboratory at Arizona State University, in Mesa.
