agreed EL this is a great deal for nzogcc (as i now call them) and does indeed make their stake in PRC look much more attractive and adds significant value to it.
my initial reaction was a prediction that they will use the rest of our cash to fund some vertical and horizontal integration eg. buy an Fe mine, build a gas fired steel mill next to kupe and then knock out a few FPSO's to cope with future taranaki output. or maybe just swap the coal rights for an oil tanker or an offshore rig.
i'll stop before i get carried away lol but i cant imagine many holders voting against this clever deal and im guessing that we will see increasing demand for nzogcc shares as a result.
