Both Toyota and Honda have opted for NiMH batteries in their future electric/hybrid car production, as opposed to Lithium ion batteries. This is a huge boost for rare earth producer LYC. Will also be a solid boost to all Ni producers.
Each new car will contain 16-20kg of rare earth metals.
Does anyone know how much Ni each car will require?
