Here is an example of a hybrid solar and wind energy park, with a closed loop water battery.  It would not be a stretch to think that wave energy could be incorporated in a similar project in the right location.

It is interesting that they have chosen the Hunter Valley as the location to build the energy park.  I wonder if that was done  deliberately to take on the fossil fuel industry head on.  I imagine the residents that have been choking on coal dust for the best part of a century would be hoping it succeeds.
