And maybe also rebate to EV owners to compensate for the excessive depreciation of their cars, to be funded by higher taxes obviously; get some marketing agency to conjure up a nice innocuous and virtuous name for the additional levy (something like "Environmental Harmonisation Contribution" or "Climate Rescue Offering")
