I never mentioned depreciation, I was just pointing out the drop in the Model Y RRP since David purchased his EV and the fact that it didn't seem to concern him because of the fuel savings he was making.

In respect of Hybrids, 20 years ago I was full of admiration for the Prius, I would even catch a taxi just to watch the energy flow display but I would never buy one because I believe simpler is better and despite @LoadedDog experience, 2 drive systems in one car is more complicated than one or the other. Also the fact that my driving is mainly highway means that the main advantage of Hybrids (better economy with stop/start driving) does not apply to me.
