Could have bought a Golf Diesel (2nd hand) (or equivalent other brand new) for circa 40K new.
Would have saved $35k in purchase price.
Don't forget as a farmer, I am sure his 'diesel' in only used in his tractors, thereby not paying the fuel tax of 44c per litre.
As the Tesla is only used on roads, would never have pulled back the upfront costs with fuel savings in the life of the car.
