It stands to reason that roads and transport infrastructure will have to be paid for
and the the questions are when and by whom.

By committing to Net Zero Emissions by 2050, both sides of Government are simply
haggling about details and timing. It is simply not possible to achieve Net Zero by
2050 without drastically reducing vehicles' tailpipe emissions.

So what is your point?

The transition to zero vehicular tailpipe emissions is happening now with a
mix of EVs (Hybrids, PHEVs & BEVs) hitting the market and collective their
combined market share has been increasing since 2018 and will likely be
20%+ for 2024.

Admittedly ICE vehicles have become more fuel efficient in order to stay
competitive but that, IMO, is simply the last hurrah from full ICE vehicles.

The science is in regarding the impact of man made climate change gasses
and Governments and auto manufacturers have already made the decisions to
remedy the transport industry accordingly.

To argue otherwise is simply either futile or misguided....take your pick eh?
