Don't buy new because the Government will likely surcharge ICEs by 2026, IMO and like some countries in Europe may aim to phase them out entirely later.
The 2nd hand value of ICEs in Aus is high relative to other countries (that's why we're not allowed to import used ICEs except for the odd Hoon car and a handful of Hybrids)
Once the writing is truely on the wall with respect to officially phasing-out ICEs, the ass will fall out of secondhand prices, IMO.
