With the price of fuel here in Europe at least
50% more expensive than Aus many diesel
car owners are shifting to hybrids and BEVs
That said electricity is very expensive here too.
I guess long range country driving will remain
predominantly diesel until such time that BEVs
can match a diesel tank range with a battery charge
But when it comes to price, people tend to compare/
contrast the brice of a BEV with that of a petrol equivalent
& not a diesel equivalent which is closer nowadays to that
of the cheaper Chinese BEVs.
And of course tax concessions for Utes distorts the market
and givan that BEV/Hybrid Utes are still in development stage
that we wont see a dramatic move in overall market share
of the BEVs until there are a variety of Ute equivalents
and IMO they will be, more likely than not, Chinese.
