There has been negative post by the Punk-Steam brigade re the EV market but alot of that is US based and specifically focuses on Tesla.
Tesla is now experiencing some tough competitoion from the Chinese and particuluarly BYD who have knocked Tesla off # 1 spot in China.
With the USA & Europeans waging an economic war on Chinese manufactured goods and in particular Chinese EVs , there will always be stops and starts in tha market. Add to that the global economic uncertainties caused by 2 wars with Uncle Sam up to his proverbials in both!
I was pleased to see the significant #s of EVs (both hybrids and plug-ins) in France a few weeks ago and with ICEs' restricted access to Paris CBD and other major French cities, the trend there will likely accelerate, IMO.
With Chinese EV virtually banned in the USA and hobbled in the EC, Aus will likely benefit with even cheaper Chinese models over the next few years which begs the question : "How quickly will your trusty ICE depreciate in say the next 5 years? "
