Other benefits: -no extra starting motor -no fanbelts -electric controlled water pump (quick to get engine to op temp) -easy on brakes due to regenerative electric braking
They maybe some of the benefits compared to an ICE but an EV can match all them and raise you a big one - No need to cart around a complete ICE and drivetrain complete with all the added complexity of trying to combine the 2 systems.
All that extra complexity might work ok when it is new but just imagine a few years down the track when a sensor or some other component decides to throw an intermittent fault, that's when you will wish for the simplicity of an EV.
