Here's some responses to this attempt by MSM to undermine EV's
Hi, I first purchased a Nissan Leaf in 2015. It was two years old with 10,000 miles on the clock and never had a fast charge. We live rural, very rural and 7 miles from the nearest Town. We paid £7,500 and then a further £80 a month for the battery lease. After 8 yrs of free motoring as we have solar that charges the car up, we decided to upgrade. We sold the Leaf for £6,500 and with 30k miles on the clock.
When we got it, it had 115 miles range. When we sold it had 101 mile range.
We then got a car with a cactus leather interior and sound effects from Hans Zimmer and we've found that our experience has not changed at all. Other than the range. BMW state a 261 mile range but we have had over 300 many a time.
Bloody foreigners, stating one thing then delivering another, Phah!
Many people talk about the infrastructure, and with only 55,000 public charge points vs the 8,000 petrol for courts I'm not sure why? Any ideas?
We have free fuel, lower servicing costs, in fact other than a change of tyres on the Nissan, zero cost as nothing ever went wrong.
Oh, I do have to put air in the tyres and water in the screen-wash bottle, but we can do that from home, as we do 'fuel up' Regards.....................................................
Letter sent-summary: First EV in 2012. The Citroen C-Zero. Currently drive a Tesla Model Y, Long-range with charging infrastructure that has been built over my 13 years driving EVs. I have saved a conservatively estimated £30,000 whilst covering 200,000 miles Joyous driving.
