No starter - saves on the starter repairs and the 12V battery doesn't have to crank the starter. My 12V battery lasted 13 yrs. Electric airconditioner - No belt to waste power or break and the compressor runs at design speed all the time. Electric power steering - again no belt. Electric power brakes. Timing chain - no belt replacement. Stick with the industry leader and get Toyota reliability.
A standard Corolla would likely use less petrol than my Hybrid Camry but no longer on the market.
