I'm not surprised, on the Porsche forums almost nobody likes the EV version of the Mecan. The hybrids are a joke too, when I bought my Panamera the dealer tried his best to sell me the E-Hybrid version. When looking at the extra cost ie. $50,000 more and the extra 450 kg in weight why would anybody in the right mind want a car that can do maybe 70km on a battery but when the battery runs out you're lugging around another 450 kg of weight and using an extra 2 litres/100km in fuel. Ok if you only just drive around town, but for me where its a 200 km round trip to go shopping on a open road it would cost more in fuel due to the extra weight. My car has a 1,300 km range and the E Hybrid has less range as it has a smaller fuel tank. The E Hybrid version on a long trip without recharging I reckon would only have a range of 750 km due to extra fuel used lugging around an extra 450 kg of battery and electric motor parts.
