Eer, Why? There are many reasons for the ICE to last longer in a hybrid than standard.

I'll give you a couple for starters:

The engine can be detuned and any loss of power when needed is provided by the motor/generator.
Cold start wear can be reduced because the motor/generator will reduce the torque needed from the ICE when cold.

Why would you fit an engine and then detune it....
