IMO the opinion leaders on EVs are petrol heads from the USA and their followers down here.
The import tariffs on Chinese EV in the EZ & the USA will likely mean very cheap Chinese EVs in Aus later this year and once the smaller EVs drop in price similar to the upmarket ICE brands (eg: Toyota Yaris/Corolla) then we'll likely see action.
National Auctions have a fair sprinkling of Toyota Hybrids on offer , usually 2020-2021, which looks like ex Gov/ex major fleets.
It will be interesting to see if these cars will be replaced by further HEVs , PHEVs or BEVs?
IMO Gov & fleet new car sales lead the trend simply because they have the computerised "cost of ownership" programs and of course Government purchases are not skewed by tax concessions.
