EV market share was around 9.5% last year, up from around 8.5% the prior year.
That’s slow progress.
If they were as good as the believers say they are, the market share should be rocketing ahead, not crawling ahead at a percent or two per annum.
EVs will have their followers, but until there is way more recharging infrastructure in place, and recharging times are competitive against refuelling an ICE vehicle, the limited gains to date will top out fairly quickly.
