A hybrid would make sense if ICE engine’s were still OHV large capacity and fuel inefficient iron block straight 6’s and V8s.
But ICE engines these days are very fuel efficient small capacity DOHC alloy jobs (often turbocharged), which for most users, really negates the need to add the extra cost and complexity of a hybrid set up. With the exception of those travelling very high kilometres, hybrid buyers are really wasting their money (especially if they’re buying with finance).
