You are cherrypicking mate. While the CO2 emissions from an ICE is continuous for the life of the vehicle (say 20 years) the manufacturing CO2 emissions whether they be from manufacturing an ICE or a BEV is a one off with the batteries replacement say every 10 years .
The trend is already set whether that be in transitional HEVs/PHEVs or the ultimate BEVs where OECD countries ae now legislating the transition .
Im sorry to say that the Trump followers have only 3 years and 9 months left and besides states like California will power ahead with BEV legislation regardless of what retrograde steps Trump may attempt.
