personally I think Oz should concentrate on research, invention, innovation and development


why? -- because Ozzies think differently.

Just like Japan was ok at applied science, they aren't good at some other things.

for whatever weird reason, Ozzies are different. If they were well lead and a solid curiosity, exploratory, betterment of man, machine and planet system culture were built and Ozzies let off the chain on it --------- Ozzies are good

now, so are some other nations - America can be good, so too others -------- but, Ozzies are just that ?? different.

Remember when NASA (I think it was NASA) spent hundreds of millions trying to get a scramjet engine to work. Oz had a group of bright sparks who they let off the chain with 100 pizzas, 500 cans of coke and a lot of good cheer ------ and they got something to work

now - we have and always have had this odd kind of behaviour - yet it's rarely been let loose.

the future is going to be tech - that's clear. Some who are out of the way and thinking differently can easily come up with some great stuff. Money - yes, money can help - but, you have to be prepared to open a door and throw the bucks in and get nothing out.

It's well time for Oz that someone chucked a lot of bucks towards some bright young minds who think about things such as

what's next?
what comes after self drive cars?
what comes after cars?
do we need cars?
what is a car?


that's the kinds of thinking that got Apple to where it is ----------- not just thinking about - can we make better cars or how can we dig up more dirt to make cars

that's old hat really -------------- really really old hat
