We are surrounded by water with very windy beaches so, IMO, its not rocket science to generate electricity from windpower and desalinate sea water. For an arid continent we should be experts at this rather than have to import the guts of desalinated plants.
You said that we are creative/inventive....so it should be a piece of piss to solve our water problem....eh?
Perhaps we'll wait until the Chinese show us how its done ? Or like the constipated mathematician.....we'll work it out with a pencil and paper!
