The above Chart compares a Toyota Corolla Cross Hybrid with an MG ZS EV (which is the cheapest full EV on market and with average kms/year it takes the MG owner 12 years to break even with the Toyota Hybrid owner on overall cost of ownership (Source: Macquarie Bank Cost Comparison)
Perhaps this is why Taxis are sticking with Hybrids rather than making the switch to full EVs?
That said, Taxis do up to 100,000K P/A where the average punter clocks up 25Ks.
