I guess a person walking on the street by themselves with no one within a few hundred metres wears a mask so as to not infect anyone else that is nowhere to be seen. Socially responsible?? But wait, if the person is sick, shouldn't they be home recovering instead of worrying infecting someone half a mile away??
Had a boss years ago who said if you're not 100% well, take a sickie and don't come to work to affect others. Well said and as a worker, appreciated such attitude towards others. One day the boss did come to work coughing and sneezing with no mask on. The place was air conditioned. Upon querying why he did not stay away as obviously not being 100% well, he said he was sorry but he had to come because he had so much work to do.
