My neighbour has a Tesla 3 and he charges it up for $18
weekly which gives him a range of 400 kms. his previous
car, a Mazda 6 cost him $70/week in petrol. His saving
on fuel alone is $52/week or about $2700/year. he's a doctor
so his motivation is "less CO2" rather than the economics of it because
cars were tax deductible incl. fuel
