Driven many over the years and they are now as good and bad as many other established made in country.

I would never have a Euro made car again (build quality & parts costs) and loved the build quality of my first Honda in the late 80's and a 2008 Mazda 3 SP.

When I first looked at Tesla the cars were coming out of their first factory in the US and the build quality was shit. Once Australia started getting Model 3 from China I had another look - build quality was great, read good reviews and bought one. Couldn't be happier with the purchase

Wife’s got a South African assembled VW with a Czech built Skoda engine.

Somewhat surprisingly, no complaints after 7 years of ownership.

Now her previous French built Renault…well, that’s another story entirely.
