20tonnes of petrol would be approx 580,000 km in a VW Polo 1.0 TSI and approx 293,000 km in a Ford Ranger 2.0 Raptor 4x4 High Rider
Using .737 kg/ litre Petrol
4.6l/100km Golf and 8.2l/100km petrol Ranger.
That would be my first look at your claim rather than just a 200,000 Km figure.
I would dismiss the longevity of the Golf at 580,000km But expect the Ranger at 270,000 would be end of useful engine life.
As far as
an EV would be concerned a
comparison of 580,000km would also be incredible and can be dismissed for reasonableness
but assume that the 270,000 km is end of useful life for comparative purposes.
You bring to account the manufacture and distribution costs for fuel in the ICE vehicles
but not ?
The Production and distribution of Energy on the EV.
Count in Subsidised Energy production infrastructure,Transmission and Distribution costs of the electricity and you will make a better comparison.
Add in the 1.7 x cost of EV production cf. ICE unit as well.
just...... to be fair.
How does it look when that is factored in?
