The people who were not prepared to be forced to take jabs may also be in the minority but the majority were fear mongered or forced and rushed in. How safe and effective are the jabs - how many more will be needed to feel safe as there seem to be as many viral variants as motor vehicle models.
May seem off point but the principle is similar - EV's are brought in partly due to CO2 climate fear and are slowly forced on people. Worth keeping in mind that just because some are deemed to be in the minority does not necessarily mean the majority is right - the majority may have more clout, some with more money too (often 'your' tax money) but not necessarily more sense.
EV vehicles have hundreds of reasons for thermal runaways due their batteries:

Excerpt:
Most new electric cars on sale today use battery tech that’s fundamentally the same: hundreds of individual cells packed into modules of pockets to make one large battery. The biggest ones are massive, measuring a few metres long and weighing several hundred kilos
The small, individual elements are the cells – the finished unit is the battery.” They’re bundled together into a battery unit...

In the very unlikely event of a lithium-ion battery fire, you will need to ring 000. Never attempt to extinguish a lithium-ion fire yourself.
EVs will rarely use their full battery capacity.
The actual driving range of an EV can be affected by your driving behaviour. High speeds, fast acceleration, heavy cargo will use up more energy more quickly.
An ICE vehicle may also only use the full tank capacity on 'rare' occasions - but perhaps that's because it has a much longer range in the first instance. As far as unlikely events with EV's - it seems they happen regularly:

Excerpt:
Though EV battery fires are relatively rare, occurring at a rate of roughly 25 per 100,000 EVs sold, their repercussions are serious enough to warrant focused attention to this issue.
EV fires can be unpredictable: a recent study suggests that one third of EV fires occur when the vehicle is parked, not moving and not charging.
..fire departments require special training to manage EV fires, as they can continue to reignite for days following being extinguished.
Whilst EV's may be portrayed the future of transportation, there are a whole range of issues to overcome yet to make it safely, reliably and cheaply so. No need to be in a rush queue. AIMO
