    That's a load of US rubbish which does not apply to Aus (we're not Yanks yet.

    My neighbour has a Tesla 3 which he charges at my local charging station
    for $18 and that takes him 400 kms.

    In the USA petrol is relatively cheap compared to Aus which affects the comparison .

    The bottom line is if we say compare the Tesla 3 to say an equivalent ICE doing
    12.5 kms/litre we get 400/12.5 X $1.80 or $58 vs $18 for the Tesla .

    My neighbour does 1 charge/week and that is a saving of $2080 P/A.
    Most BEVs do at least twice that kms annually IMO.
