A paid Journo's opinion piece is different to a professional
car valuation publication that dealers pay an annual subscription for:
    EG:
    -The Red Book
    -Glass's dealers Guide

And or Auction Houses that have a depth of auction sales data.

I can hire a journo in the morning to write a piece on how
Hybrids/BEVs retain their value and he/she will likely
interview select dealers just as the journo you cited above probably did.

I realise that among traditional car dealers there is a fear of offering
Statutory Car Warranty on EVs when there is not enough known about
the history of the traction battery or its future life expectancy.

That said, however, Infinitiv offer refurbed traction batteries for Hybrid Camrys
    at $2,200 with 3 years/100,000kms warranty.

IMO most of the ant about traction battery life relates to ignorance
and not the facts. Just have a chinwag with your local taxi owner/operator
and he/she will explain to economics of car ownership ; especially the
    lifetime overall cost of ownership.

IMO there is more risk buying a CVT or a Dual Clutch transmissioned car
than an ev.....Just ask a Ford owner of Ford vehicles impacted ...eh?
