PS: Even though we have a Free Trade Agreement (FTA) with Japan, the importation of used Japanese vehicles is largely restricted to a few Makes/Models .
The only logical argument for the status quo ...ie restricting used Japanese imports..is to protect the profits of the Auto Multinationals ( we have no local manufacture since 2018) many of whom pay little or no Aus corporate tax !
