I guess the 'cant bat, can't bowl" syndrome has reached EVs.
We had the fire scares with Mobile Phones while gassing-up.
    Where's that now?

We have had the "sen a taxi driver to the moon" scare with LPG

    And so on.

As I have said previously , both sides of Government has signed-up
to being Carbon Neutral by 2050. Transport generates about 17%
of Aus Carbon. So IMO its either user pays (polluter pays) or Government
Pays or a mix of both.

IMO it will be mostly Government pays (general taxpayer) until the
Neo-Libs change that to polluter pays. In the interim there will likely
be a sliding scale of both.

From the top down. ....Aus imports over 90% of transport oils.
Home charging of the family car will mean that we claw at least
some of the revenue back from the Foreign Oil Companies who
by the way pay little or no Aus Corporate Tax Now that should appeal
    to an Aussie nationalist...eh?

The jury is still out on the damage done in Aus by climate change.
However, what is measurable is theever increasing $billions doled out by Governments
to individuals in lieu of natural disasters of which the wise guys attribute ti Climate Change.

The carbon tax was promptly knocked in the head by the Libs who ironically have
a general policy of user pays (polluter pays) !!!
