    Forget about the old systems....What happens in Paris (Berlin, Rome , London etc etc)
    arrives here 5 years later.

    Europe taxes (Regoes) cars and SUVs on CO2 emissions and cars sold new
    in Aus over the past 12 years have a CO2 (ADR) rating . This makes easy
    the implementation of CO2 Rego covering most of the national fleet with
    the rest being left to the current system and likely doubled in rego price by 2030.

    We have inherited (cut-pasted) virtually all out ADRs from the Uk/UK-EU including the
    crucial ANCAP (EU NCAP) ...we just add the "A" and Bob's your uncle...eh?

    As a by the way...its interesting that UBER will only accept ANCAP rated cars &
    not NCAP rated ones although it accepts NCSAP rated cars in the UK-EU?
    I wonder why?

    By this standard, the average fuel guzzler will cost the Aussie ICE enthusiast $4K our peso P/A to register!
    Now that's a sobering thought to mull over at the bowser...eh?
