AngelMed can detect heart attacks but you obviously have to have had one beforehand to even consider the implant. As for Dean Jones, if he did have an implant, maybe the device could have alberted him earlier prior to feeling symptoms, who knows what those extra seconds or minutes could have done.

The implant can save lives, save money (for patients to not having to rush to a hospital if unnecessary, or for hospitals to not needing to diagnose the patients if it's just a false alarm). But most importantly (IMO), the main function of Angelmed is to give the patients with heart conditions a better quality of life, not having to worry whether they are having a heart attack or not, to get on with day to day activities, live the life they had known before the heart conditions.

For a peace of mind, $10k isn't too expensive.
